Perbadanan Kemajuan Iktisad Negeri Kelantan (PKINK) through its
subsidary,
Kompleks Perkayuan Kelantan Sdn Bhd has been given a logging
concession area of 9500 hectares for planned and systematic logging
in accordance to "Sustainable Forest Management Protocol". Majority
of logs extracted from the concession area are processed into sawn
timber at KPK owned sawmill and balance are sold to buyers on tender
basis.
KPK Sawmill located at Kg. Stong, Kuala Kerai
has been in operations since 1983 with multiple facilities such as
Kiln Drying, Moulding Shop, Tanalising, Finger Jointing and Mini Sawmill.
Coupled with state-of-the-art machineries, a sustainable log source
and competent personnel, KPK Sawmill ensures that the products meets
the high quality expected by its buyers.
